Make Do and Mend, part 3

A few years ago, back in 2007, I bought a whole lot of Noro Silk Garden to knit a huge shawl.

The so called entrelac technique was fun at first but quickly became boring.

I knitted about… half, I think

I finally realised I will never finish it and decided to rip it out.

And I’m now turning it into a cardigan!

And it’s almost finished!

Happy knitting!

  1. I agree — Entrelac looks amazing but such a snore to knit. I was thinking I would make a shawl or blanket and ended up stopping at one skein and making a cushion cover instead. The yarn I used was too bulky to make into a garment. I like what you’re doing — it looks like it will be a terrific cardigan — love the colours!

  2. Ha, ha vilken kreativ torkanordning du har gjort. Och ja, entrelac kan bli otroligt tråkigt. Men det är en fin teknik.
